  1. What Is The Tessera SX40?

The Tessera SX40 LED processor combines Tessera’s industry-leading feature set and easy-to-use software interface. It is considered the highest-ever capacity processor.

Its outstanding features include HDR, Dynamic Calibration, Ultra-low Latency, HFR+ (High Frame Rate), Frame Remapping Sguttersync, and 3D LUT import. The Tessera SX40 LED processor supports On-screen Color Adjustment (OSCA) for seam corrections, Dark Magic for dark-area detail, and ChromaTune for color control.

It is available in a standard 2U rack form with a total output capacity of 9 million pixels. It also supports 4K LED walls at up to 60 Hz with a 12-bit color depth.

The Tessera SX40 also supports latency-free 4K up/down scaling and provides a cost-effective and robust system for supporting big and bold LED screen projects. It also supports Power Redundancy, in which if the problem occurs with the video or input or output, the backup processor can configure it in a few seconds and take over the trouble without closed-loop redundancy.

  1. What Are Its Features?

Below are the features of the Tessera SX40 LED Processor.

  • XD Distribution Unit

The Tessera XD data distribution units are a solution designed to manage the needs for mass cabling in cases of large LED displays.

You may also check this link for further information.

  • Ultra-low Latency

Having an ultra-low latency device helps the LED screen performance in many ways. This function provides a latency-minimizing solution for the broadcast, television, and film industries. It makes it easier to synchronize live-action with visual effects and more.

The Tessera SX40 LED processor already has an industry-leading two frames end-to-end latency.

  • High Frame Rate+

HFR+ gives you the power to play video content on an LED screen at up to 250 fps (frames per second). A higher frame rate of an LED processor gives smoother visuals in eSports and simulator applications.

  • HDR

It supports and handles HDR content automatically. The system switches seamlessly between SDR, PQ, and HLG without interruptions. HDR is beautifully supported at all resolutions and frame rates in both of the commonly used HDR formats (PQ (ST-2084) and HLG).
